Purchasing a Business

Conveyancing for Buying a Business in NSW

Purchasing a businessOnce you have negotiated the purchase price of the business, Boyd Conveyancing Services will go through the business purchase process with you and discuss all aspects of the transaction which are important to you.

You should also contact:

  • your accountant to have them review the profit and loss statements of the business;
  • council to ensure that the business can legally be conducted from the premises which you intend on running the business from.

Upon receipt of the Contract from the seller’s representative Boyd Conveyancing Services will contact you to organise to discuss the terms of the contract and any impact they may have upon you. Boyd Conveyancing Services will also conduct all necessary searches to ensure that your interests are protected.

Once the terms of the Contract have been agreed upon Boyd Conveyancing Services will submit the contract to the sellers for exchange.

During the period between exchange and settlement, Boyd Conveyancing Services will organise to submit to the seller transfer forms and other documents associated to the sale of the business.

Boyd Conveyancing Services will correspond with you to draw cheques at settlement of the business purchase and will attend settlement on your behalf. You are not required to attend settlement.
